Filmed way back in 1981, but still as relevant now as it has ever been, was Brasilian Director: Hector Babenco's gem of a film, about the brutality and tragedy of street kids in Sao Paulo. A no holds barred look at street life for children in a broken society, often violent and without morals. Really powerful important film if you can stomach it!!! #PIXOTE

In it's opening sequence, Berbenco breaks down the social factors, revealing the poverty driven environment that pushes these kids into a life of neglect and a violent existence.
